About Couples Garden -

What is The Couple's Garden?

The Couple's Garden is a relationship enrichment series of special "Date Nights" offering participants the opportunity to explore and nurture their relationship.

Who can participate?

The Couple's Garden is open to married couples of all ages and stages of relationship.

Why should we attend?

The danger to most marriages today is not serious problems but lack of nourishment. Many couples have good intentions to attend to their relationship but discover those intentions fall prey to demands of family, work, social commitments, and even over-scheduled Church commitments. By attending The Couple's Garden evenings, couples set aside time to spend together and receive up-to-date information on how to develop and maintain strong and healthy couple relationships.

Why is it called 'The Couple's Garden?'

Well, love in marriage is like a garden. Think about it. When you attend carefully to a garden - thoughtful pruning, regular watering, careful feeding, periodic weeding - it will grow into a place that provides beauty, satisfaction and pleasure. If the garden is neglected, it will dry up and become an unpleasant, unproductive place. Because marriage is like a garden, couples need into build their lifestyle the wise and regular nourishing of their relationship.

Who started The Couple's Garden?

It was founded in Pasadena by Dr. Gary Brainard, a psychologist and marriage enrichment speaker in private practice.

How much does it cost?

One evening is $15 per couple which covers the hors d'oeuvres and speaker; the set of three evenings is $36 (such a deal!). Couples are on their own for dinner following the speaker at the restaurant of their choice.

When are these evenings?

For the first half of 2009, Couples Garden met on Feb. 28, April 25 and May 30.

Can we bring another couple?
