NAME – Daniel K. Luebbert
MINISTRY TEAM – Christian Education
WORK POSITION & COMPANY – Technical Manager, 3M Company
BORN & RAISED – St. Louis, Missouri; spent 17 years in Columbia, MO then moved to Moorpark in 2006.
FAMILY & PETS – Wife: Molly; Children: Ben, Aaron & Elijah; we are significant contributors to the red-headed population of MPC. One cat: Percy… I can see Pastor Dave making that crinkle-face right now : )
HOBBIES/OTHER ACTIVITIES – Reading, video gaming with my boys, video editing, many, many different types of board & card games as well as watching or playing most sports. I would likely watch two guys playing catch on ESPN, however… my preference would be to watch the Missouri Tigers play football.
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE & WHY – Every book of the Bible that I read comforts, challenges & convicts me. I’m currently studying the gospel of John & the book of Isaiah. From the former, I like John 11:35; “Jesus wept”. What a striking vision of our Lord exhibiting his emotions prior to bringing Lazarus back from the grave. He cares for me too! I also like Isaiah 50:4, Isaiah’s great commission to minister to Israel… it reminds me that every interaction I have requires that I display the changes brought about in me by our Lord… something I’m not always able to do.
FUN FACT ABOUT YOU – I’ve ridden a bicycle across the state of Missouri three times… yes, on purpose. Missouri is home to the largest rails to trails project with the transition of a portion of the MKT railroad line to the ‘Katy Trail’, a 230 mile long peat gravel walking and biking trail. I was able to coerce several of my friends to join me on a yearly trek on the Katy trail starting in Clinton, MO and finishing in St. Charles, MO.
