MPC Community Art Project -

Come see the completed cross!

The Mosaic Cross project is a community outreach project of Moorpark Presbyterian engaging our community in building a public piece of art. The Moorpark Art Commission saw the project presentation as a "piece of public art." Over twenty-five MPC volunteers helped to make it, haul it, and assist the community to add a tile. The cross visited nine sites in Moorpark for its creation; a neighborhood, a park, Girl Scouts "thinking day", church, Java Kai, Active Adult Center, Cub Scouts, Little League, and Boy Scouts. More than 500 people helped decorate it and over 500 signed tiles have been embedded into the cross. People from age 18 months to 90 years old added tiles. All tiles are recycled from church member's home projects.

Everyone is invited to come see the completed cross at MPC.
