Welcome to Word Store, Integration and Discipleship’s new ministry to promote and aid you in memorizing scripture regularly. Every month for five months there will be a new verse that we encourage you to memorize. The sixth month will be a time for review.

Tips to Get Started -

Keep all your verses in one place. We have a number of index card holders that are ideal for this.

Carry your verses with you and glance at them during down time in the day or night.

Make up a song to sing your verse. Music is such a powerful way to get something into your brain. Use known memory devices to help you. Word associations and lists can be very helpful.

Take it slowly and in little chunks at first. Fewer verses that really sink in are preferable to lots of verses that are just “touched upon”. Don't guilt yourself if you forget. Pick yourself up and try again.

Meditate on your verse. Think about it as often as you can during the day. Meditation is very helpful for memorization.

Incorporate scripture memory into your daily routine. Search on “scripture memory” on the Internet. We hope to compile a list at some future point.
