2016 Lent Study
From Pastor Mark’s office:
Dear Congregation,
Thanks to you, we are a growing family. Because of you, not only are new individuals attending worship, you also encourage one another to grow in Christ. While The FORCE series focused on foundational Christian doctrine (including why we believe what we believe), our next sermon series, starting on February 14, will focus on growing deeper in Christ. It is called Plugging in to the Power Source: 6 Spiritual Practices, and we are developing a small group Lenten study series to go with it. Small Group Coordinator Dan Crane, Pastor Janet, and I are excited to see this study draw you deeper into a life with Christ by “plugging in” to God’s power.
So, if you haven’t yet joined a small group, now is the time to do so! As a matter of fact, unless you’re part of a small group, you’re probably not growing as deeply in Christ as you could. Similarly, you’re probably not connecting on a deeper level with your MPC family. If you want to become a more significant part of MPC and grow in Christ, “plug in” with a small group!
Some of you may feel a bit nervous about this step. If you’ve never been part of a small group – no need to worry – there is a place for you. These groups vary, which means there is likely a group that would make you feel right at home. If you’d like to know more about our Small Group ministry or join a group, be sure to contact Dan Crane at the church ([email protected] or 818-317-2364). You’ll be so glad you did.
So, let’s continue to be a growing church – both in depth and in breadth! In Christ’s care,
~ Pastor Mark McIlraith
